Get to know me!
When I first brought home my reactive dog, I quickly discovered how overwhelming and confusing the training world could be. I was desperate for clear, compassionate guidance and constantly felt like I was failing him. It was frustrating and isolating. I truly believed I might never be able to help him.
I decided I had to take it into my own hands. I immersed myself in the study of canine behaviour, psychology, welfare, and the science behind training. What began as a need quickly became a passion, and before long, I was completely hooked.
Today, I’m proud to say that my once-reactive dog is thriving, helping dogs just like him thrive too. Our journey not only transformed my dog, but it also transformed my life, shaping my life’s mission into helping others navigate similar challenges with confidence and clarity.
I bring a strong foundation in animal care and behaviour, holding a Certificate II in Animal Care, DBTC, and SDTC. I’m currently studying Veterinary Bioscience at the University of Sydney, deepening my understanding of animal health and behaviour at a scientific level. I’ve had the privilege of volunteering with the RSPCA and veterinary teams in Indigenous communities and continue to value helping owners and dogs in need.
Professionally, I work closely with national leaders in the field and am mentored by Steve Austin, an internationally recognised expert in scent detection, conservation, and working dogs. My training approach is grounded in evidence-based methods, and I regularly invest in seminars and continuing education to ensure my knowledge stays modern, effective, and ethical. Even in my spare time, I’m training my own dogs for dog sports and conservation work (learn more about it here!)
Whether you're struggling with reactivity, complex behaviour challenges, or simply want to build a stronger bond with your dog, I’m here to help. My goal is always to create a supportive space where dogs and their humans can grow in trust, skill, and confidence.
If you're ready to take the next step toward a calmer, happier life with your dog, I’d be honoured to walk that path with you. Let’s connect and start building the future you both deserve.
You may be thinking, what on earth is a demo dog?
It’s pretty simple! They’re calm, well-trained dogs who join our training sessions when needed to help show you what’s possible. They can demonstrate behaviours, give you a chance to practice them, give your dog a stable presence to work around, help us assess reactivity in a safe and supportive way and more!
Spider is my number one boy and best mate. He’s a rescue who came to me with some big feelings about the world. Men, kids, other dogs — everything made him anxious. With time, trust, and a whole lot of training, he’s become a chilled-out, steady guy who now helps other dogs feel safe and supported. These days, he lives the good life as the ultimate pet dog, but we’ve started dabbling in a bit of working-style training too, just to keep things interesting for him. He’s soft, super playful, and knows how to break the ice with just about any dog.
Shego is the working dog of the team. She’s a high-drive, working-line German Shepherd who absolutely thrives when she has a job to do. She’s currently in professional scent detection training and also working toward Mondioring, which is like the ultimate sport for working dogs. Shego is confident, sharp, and super focused, making her the perfect role model for dogs learning to stay calm and collected around others. She brings the energy when it’s needed, but she also knows how to switch off and just chill when it counts.
Whether it’s Spider, Shego, or both, these two pups are here to help make your sessions smoother, safer, and a whole lot more successful.
